just purchased some motorola mr350, seem to work well. i get almost a mile in the city the GMRS channels. I will update when I have played with them more.

does anyone know of a walkie-talkie/2-way radio/ham radio that can transmit (and receive) ANALOG RF in the range from 400-500mhz?
I can’t stress analog enough, it has to be an analog FM (or AM) transmission. I don’t want spread spectrum, frequency hopping, sub-channels, digital, or anything else. I want something that is direct voice modulated FM (or AM).
I am designing a RF receiver in this frequency range, and I need a radio to test with. it will be exponentially more difficult if it is anything other than voice modulated AM or FM.
also, I would like to to be cheap. Amazon has a lot of 2-way radios for cheap, but they don’t specify what kind of modulation scheme they use.
